Bengaluru Based Indian Fashion Startup Raises USD$15 Million

The Bengaluru based firm owns three major fashion brands; Wrogn, Imara and Ms.Taken


Mumbai, India: Universal Sportsbiz Pvt Ltd (USPL), a Bengaluru based parent company of three major fashion brands; Wrogn, Imara and Ms. Taken raises USD$15 Million from its existing investor Accel Partners.

USPL is backed by Sachin Tendulkar, a famous former cricketer from the Indian team. The company would use the funds for its continued expansion of product portfolio and retailing advancements. The firm also plans to expand its operation into international markets.

“Each of these brands has the potential to emerge as multi-million dollar globally recognized fashion brands.” Anjana Reddy, founder and Chief Executive of USPL, said in a statement.

Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli, who co-created Wrogn, a men’s casual wear brand, said that he is looking forward to taking Wrogn to all the right places in India and beyond. “I have always believed that Wrogn was the right decision for me,” he said in a statement.

The valuation of USPL has crossed $100 million.
